We knew this was going to be a weekend dominated by glam vampires, protective werewolves, and a brooding teenage girl. But very few expected The Twilight Saga: New Moon to sink its teeth to the tune of $141 million. Sandra Bullock may not have fangs (as far as we know), but she does seem to have eternal life in the movie business as The Blind Side fared very well, bringing in $34.5 million. Rounding out the top five this weekend was 2012, which added another $26.5 million, bringing its disaster stow to $108 million, animated aliens kiddie-flick Planet 51 with $12.6 million, and Disney’s A Christmas Carol with $12.2 million. Precious, which was released in more theaters this weekend, also had a strong showing, bringing in $11 million.
